Pre-Race Legends of Motorsports Powered by HMSA – July 27-29, 2012

 THE VINTAGE AUTOMOBILE RACING ASSOCIATION OF CANADA RACES WITH THE LEGENDS OF MOTORSPORTS THIS WEEKEND AT CIRCUIT MONT-TREMBLANT

TORONTO, ON (July 25, 2012) – Legends of Motorsports Powered by HMSA kick off their 3rd season at historic Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant, Quebec this weekend (July 27-29, 2012) and the Vintage Automobile Racing Association of Canada will be the top grid representing Ontario and Quebec race car drivers and their historic race cars. The Mont-Tremblant circuit is one of the most legendary world-class racing facilities in North America and has hosted many of the world’s most famous drivers, cars and series

For the VARAC race group, Friday will consist of one, 20-minute practice session at 11:30am followed by a 20-minute qualifying at 4:00pm. Saturday, a second 20-minute qualifying will be held at 11:30am and the first race of the weekend at 4:00pm.  Sunday there is an all comers 1-hour race enduro at 10:00am followed by the weekend’s feature race at 3:00pm.

Pre-Race BARC Canada Day Grand Prix – June 30/July 1, 2012

THE VINTAGE AUTOMOBILE RACING ASSOCIATION OF CANADA RACES INTO THE PAST
AT CANADIAN TIRE MOTORSPORT PARK THIS WEEKEND

TORONTO, ON (June 26, 2012) – Following an extremely successful Canadian Historic Grand Prix celebration two weeks ago the Vintage Automobile Racing Association of Canada (VARAC) competitors will compete in the fourth event of the season this weekend (June 30 & July 1) at the BARC Canada Day Grand Prix.

Competitors from all over the provinces of Ontario and Quebec will be competing in Vintage/Historic, Formula Classic and Group 70+ alongside other race groups including the CASC-OR GT Challenge, GT Sprints and Formula 1200.

For each VARAC race group, Saturday will consist of one, 10-minute practice session followed by a 15-minute qualifying and the first 20-minute race of the weekend, all starting at 8:30am. Sunday the cars will take to the track at 9:00am and the day will consist of two, 25-minute races.

The BARC Canada Day Grand Prix is the fourth points race of the year and is an exciting follow-up to VARAC’s renowned Canadian Historic Grand Prix which took place June 15-17 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, celebrating the Corvette as the featured marque.

THE VINTAGE AUTOMOBILE RACING ASSOCIATION OF CANADA ROLLS INTO SHANNONVILLE MOTORSPORT PARK THIS WEEKEND

TORONTO, ON (May 23, 2012) – Following a very successful BEMC Spring Trophy event three weeks ago the Vintage Automobile Racing Association of Canada (VARAC) competitors will compete in the second event of the season this weekend (May 26,27) in the DAC Trillium Trophy Races.

Competitors from all over the provinces of Ontario and Quebec will be competing in Vintage/Historic, Formula Classic and Group 70+ while keeping a close eye on Canadian racing superstar and VARAC member James Hinchcliffe as he takes on the world’s best in the Indy 500.

Saturday will consist of one, 15-minute practice session followed by a 15-minute qualifying and the first 20-minute race of the weekend, all starting at 8:30am. Sunday the cars will take to the track at 9:00am and the day will consist of two, 20-minute races.
