Pre-Race DAC Trillium Trophy Races – May 26/27, 2012

THE VINTAGE AUTOMOBILE RACING ASSOCIATION OF CANADA ROLLS INTO SHANNONVILLE MOTORSPORT PARK THIS WEEKEND
TORONTO, ON (May 23, 2012) – Following a very successful BEMC Spring Trophy event three weeks ago the Vintage Automobile Racing Association of Canada (VARAC) competitors will compete in the second event of the season this weekend (May 26,27) in the DAC Trillium Trophy Races.
Competitors from all over the provinces of Ontario and Quebec will be competing in Vintage/Historic, Formula Classic and Group 70+ while keeping a close eye on Canadian racing superstar and VARAC member James Hinchcliffe as he takes on the world’s best in the Indy 500.
Saturday will consist of one, 15-minute practice session followed by a 15-minute qualifying and the first 20-minute race of the weekend, all starting at 8:30am. Sunday the cars will take to the track at 9:00am and the day will consist of two, 20-minute races.

The DAC Trillium Trophy Races is the second points race of the year and is the final tune-up to VARAC’s much anticipated Canadian Historic Grand Prix taking place on June 15-17 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, celebrating the Corvette as the featured marque.
