Pre-Race BEMC Indian Summer Trophy Races Sept 15/16, 2012

THE VINTAGE AUTOMOBILE RACING ASSOCIATION OF CANADA RACES FOR FUN AT
THE BEMC INDIAN SUMMER TROPHY RACES THIS WEEKEND

TORONTO, ON (September 11, 2012) – VARAC continues its whirlwind tour of eastern Canadian race tracks on their stop at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park for the British Empire Motor Club (BEMC) Indian Summer Trophy Races on September 15/16, 2012. As a special event that does not contribute to the VARAC points championship, VARAC’s Vintage/Historic and Group 70+ cars (under 2500lbs) will combine together to form one grid and race for fun in front of fans and fellow regional competitors.

This weekend’s race event is the 58th annual long standing BEMC tradition and includes a special three hour CASC GT Challenge enduro that will be held at the end of the day on Saturday.

For the combined VARAC race group, Saturday will consist of one 20-minute practice, one 15-minute qualifying and one 20-minute race all starting at 8:30am. Sunday, there is two, 25-minute races, on-track activity starts at 9:00am.

Other race groups that will participate in the BEMC Indian Summer Trophy Race Weekend event are as follows:
• CASC-OR GT Challenge
• CASC-OR GT Sprints
• Toyo Tires F1600 Championship
• Formula Libre

Pre-Race MCO Ted Powell Memorial Race Weekend, September 1/2, 2012

THE VINTAGE AUTOMOBILE RACING ASSOCIATION OF CANADA HEADS TO
CALABOGIE MOTORSPORTS PARK THIS WEEKEND FOR AN EPIC EAST MEETS WEST EVENT

TORONTO, ON (August 28, 2012) – VARAC Vintage/Historic and Group 70+ cars head to the picturesque Calabogie Motorsports Park this weekend to participate in an action packed weekend of racing as part of the Ted Powell Memorial Race Weekend, hosted by the Motorsport Club of Ottawa (MCO). This event will be the sixth race to count towards the VARAC Drivers’ Championship where we anticipate seeing many of our distinctive cars from both Quebec and Ontario. One of the benefits of Calabogie Motorsports Park being located just outside of Ottawa is that this weekend is a “not-to-be-missed” event for both Quebec and Ontario competitors of each regions’ provincial championships, delivering to fans an unprecedented array of racecars.

For each of the VARAC Vintage/Historic and Group 70+ race groups, Saturday will consist of one 15-minute practice, one 15-minute qualifying and one 20-minute race all starting at 9:00am. Sunday, there is two, 20-minute races; on-track activity starts at 9:00am.

THE VINTAGE AUTOMOBILE RACING ASSOCIATION OF CANADA RACES FOR FUN AT
THE BARC-OC CANADIAN TOURING TROPHY THIS WEEKEND

TORONTO, ON (July 31, 2012) – Fresh from racing at the Legends of Motorsports Powered by HMSA at Mt Tremblant last weekend, VARAC returns to its feature track, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, to participate in the BARC-OC Canadian Touring Races on August 4&5, 2012. As a special event that does not contribute to the VARAC points championship, VARAC’s Vintage/Historic and Group 70+ cars (under 2500lbs) will combine together to form one grid and race for fun in front of fans and fellow regional competitors.

Pre-Race BARC Canada Day Grand Prix – June 30/July 1, 2012

THE VINTAGE AUTOMOBILE RACING ASSOCIATION OF CANADA RACES INTO THE PAST
AT CANADIAN TIRE MOTORSPORT PARK THIS WEEKEND

TORONTO, ON (June 26, 2012) – Following an extremely successful Canadian Historic Grand Prix celebration two weeks ago the Vintage Automobile Racing Association of Canada (VARAC) competitors will compete in the fourth event of the season this weekend (June 30 & July 1) at the BARC Canada Day Grand Prix.

Competitors from all over the provinces of Ontario and Quebec will be competing in Vintage/Historic, Formula Classic and Group 70+ alongside other race groups including the CASC-OR GT Challenge, GT Sprints and Formula 1200.

For each VARAC race group, Saturday will consist of one, 10-minute practice session followed by a 15-minute qualifying and the first 20-minute race of the weekend, all starting at 8:30am. Sunday the cars will take to the track at 9:00am and the day will consist of two, 25-minute races.

The BARC Canada Day Grand Prix is the fourth points race of the year and is an exciting follow-up to VARAC’s renowned Canadian Historic Grand Prix which took place June 15-17 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, celebrating the Corvette as the featured marque.

Pre-Race DAC Trillium Trophy Races – May 26/27, 2012

THE VINTAGE AUTOMOBILE RACING ASSOCIATION OF CANADA ROLLS INTO SHANNONVILLE MOTORSPORT PARK THIS WEEKEND

TORONTO, ON (May 23, 2012) – Following a very successful BEMC Spring Trophy event three weeks ago the Vintage Automobile Racing Association of Canada (VARAC) competitors will compete in the second event of the season this weekend (May 26,27) in the DAC Trillium Trophy Races.

Competitors from all over the provinces of Ontario and Quebec will be competing in Vintage/Historic, Formula Classic and Group 70+ while keeping a close eye on Canadian racing superstar and VARAC member James Hinchcliffe as he takes on the world’s best in the Indy 500.

Saturday will consist of one, 15-minute practice session followed by a 15-minute qualifying and the first 20-minute race of the weekend, all starting at 8:30am. Sunday the cars will take to the track at 9:00am and the day will consist of two, 20-minute races.
